James E. Herring and Eliza R. Conger

James E. Herring, Dec 26, 1831 - Apr 25, 1918. Eliza R. his wife, Aug 12, 1840 - Sep 17, 1892. James E. Herring was a son of George Washington Herring Sr. and Lucy Simco. He was a grandson of George Herring and Elizabeth Closby, and, James Simco and Frances Canaday. He was born in Albemarle County Virginia and came to Callaway County Missouri in 1833. On April 11, 1857 in Callaway Co., Missouri, he married Eliza R. Conger. She was a daughter of Stephen D. Conger and Lucy Jane Gordon. James E. Herring was my great granduncle.
