John C. Martin, Dec. 21, 1865 - Aug. 31, 1941. Celia B. Martin, Nov. 21, 1867 - Feb. 26, 1929. Faithful True and Helping Friends. John Clarence Martin, Sr. was a son of James W. Martin and Martha D. Everhart. He was a grandson of Joseph Everhart and Ann Divers. On Sept. 27, 1888 in Callaway Co., Missouri, he married Celia S. Benson. She was a daughter of Vinson Benson and Martha Sarah Allen, a granddaughter of Eden Benson and Celia Beal, and, James Allen and Sarah Sally Smith. She was my 2nd cousin 3 times removed.
