    • Death of Mrs. Henry Maddox.
      Mrs. Mary Katherine Maddox, aged 47 years, died at her home in Auxvasse at 5:00 o'clock a.m., Monday, June 11, 1911, of consumption.
      Mary K. Gillfillen was born near Columbus, O., Sept. 6, 1869 and came to Missouri in 1880, settling near Readsville. She was married to J.H. Maddox, of that place, on May 13, 1884, and the family lived there until 1903 when they moved to Auxvasse.
      She is survived by an aged mother, Mrs. Mahala Macken of Readsvile, the husband, J.H. Maddox, and three sons, W. Roy, Richard, and Walter Maddox, all of Auxvasse, and the following sisters and brothers; Mrs. R.E. McQuie, Montgomery City; Mrs. T.E. Black, Toledo; Mrs. George P. James and Mrs. Jack Brooks, Fulton; W.E. Macken, Auxvasse; A.H. Macken, and Miss Belle Macken, Readsville.
      Funeral services were conducted at the Auxvasse Methodist church at 10:00 o'clock Wednesday morning by Rev. R.E. McQuie, of Montgomery City, a brother-in-law of Mrs. Maddox, assisted by Rev. B.A. McKnight, of Auxvasse. Interment occurred in the city cemetery, one mile south of Auxvasse.
      Mrs. Maddox had been a member of the ROyal Neighbor and American Yeoman lodges and carried insurance in the orders to the amount of $3,000. Her death is mourned by many sympathizing friends.
