Lena M. ''Lovie'' Nichols, 78, formerly of Kansas City, passed away August 19, 1998, at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia, MO. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Hutchison Cemetery, Chillicothe, MO. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at the C.H. Blackman & Son Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton School for the Deaf.
Mrs. Nichols was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Nichols, and two great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Roy Washam and wife, Millie, and Johnny Akins; two daughters, Mildred Maggio and husband, Joseph, and Wilma Bradshaw; one sister, Pearl Rhea; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. (Arrangements: C.H. Blackman & Son, Inc.)
