Mrs. J.C. Herring, Aged 91 Years, Died in Fulton Friday Morning
Mrs. J.C. Herring died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Annie Dunlap, at 1006 Bluff Street, Friday evening. She was born January 2, 1921, and hence was 91 years, 1 month, and 21 days old. Her maiden name was Sarah Jane Knight.
Ten weeks ago Wednesday, Mrs. Herring fell and broke a bone in her hip and has been confined to her bed since. Pneumonia followed and she was not strong enough to rally.
She is survived by five children, Judge T.W. Herring, associate justice of the county court, of Auxvasse, J.J. Herring of Fulton, Rufus A. Herring of Mexico, Mrs. Anna Dunlap and Mrs. J.E. Simcoe of Fulton.
Funeral services were held from the home at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon and the interment will be in the New Cemetery following.
