- Harry Holt Dead
Friends and relatives here were greatly grieved to learn of the sudden death of Harry Holt.
Mr. Holt with his wife and sister, Miss Maxie Holt, had spent the day with his father, J. W. Holt, who is quite ill here and was returning to their home in St. Louis, when Mr. Holt drove to the side of the pavement near Montgomery City, and said he was feeling bad. He died in a few seconds.
Funeral services were held in St. Louis Wednesday.
He was the son of J.W. Holt and the late Mary Foster Holt. He was born about five miles southwest of New Bloomfield, where he made his home until early manhood.
Besides his father and his wife, he is survived by the following sisters and brothers:
Mrs. Elbert Blythe, New Bloomfield; Mrs. Charles Kleine, Mrs. Roy Meyers and Miss Marie Holt of St. Louis; William Holt of Neosho and Archie Holt of Iowa. Paul Holt, a twin brother, preceded him in death a few years ago, and a host of other relatives.
He was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church.
