    • From Mrs. Edger Miller of St. Louis, daughter of Gov. Hamilton Rowan Gamble, sent to Washington, D.C. by Mrs. Aurtur Norman Mallby? 3824 Walnut St., Kansas City, Mo. Librarian and Genealogist.
      In the latter part of the 17th century, two brothers of the name Gamble, emigrated from the County of Northumberland, England to Ireland. From one of these brothers was descended Joseph Gamble who married Miss Montgomery. They lived in County Derry, Ireland and imigrated about 1752 to the Colony of Pennsylvania; the family consisting of Joseph, his wife, eldest son Arhibald and daughter Margaret. After two years he became dissatisfied and returned to Ireland, leaving Margaret with relatives of her mother in Pennsylvania. After their return to Ireland they had two other children, Joseph and Eleanor. DAR recorded......MCLutz
