Howard Whitney Sitton was born in Louisville, Kentucky April 30, 1914, and passed away at Hospice of the Central Coast, Westland House, early October 14, 2005, after an acute illness.
Mr. Sitton attended Westminister College in Fulton, Missouri, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity. Following college, he entered the business world, becoming an executive of several firms in Southern California. He came to the Monterey Peninsula in 1972, and worked in real estate here. He was an avid watercolorist who loved to paint scenes of the Monterey County area, and scenes in France and Italy.
He is survived by his wife Thelma, of Carmel, his daughter Mary Sue Cave of Novato, California, and his son Howard of Carmel Valley.
