John Overton was born 1712 Essex Co VA and died 17 August 1792 Spotsylvania Co VA. John Overton was the son of Samuel Overton born 14 August 1685 St. Peter's Parish, New Kent Co VA and died bef 1725 in Hanover, Louisa Co VA and his wife Anne believed to be d/o Thomas Carr and Mary Garland.
