They had one son who died young. A daughter Lena was a business woman in the west. Dimple taught at Chickasha, Oklahoma. Randa married and lived on a farm in Boone Co., Mo. -per Carrington Doc.
I found Lena working as a stenographer in Fulton and then on later census she was a patient in the Fulton State Asylum. I find no evidence that she ever "was a business women in the west".
1850 census does not list him, but does list an un-named infant, female.
on the 1900 census, John Carrington is in the Fulton State Asylum.

Interesting note: Her obituary does not mention her three daughters. It does mention her husband but says he preceded her to the grave. He did not, His obituary does not mention his wife at all, but does mention the children. In 1900 John Carrington was a patient in the Fulton State Hospital. I have to wonder if they were divorced.
