According to the Cra(i)ghead book, Alfred died early and left 2 or 3 children who lived with various families. The Cra(i)ghead researchers were not able to trace the children or even name them. Rex and Med Craghead's birth certificates named their parents which is how I connected him.
I am a bit confused about the above however, because their mother lived a long time and son Med lived either with her or very near her when she died in 1932. I don't know why the family could not be traced or why the Craighead book had no information about their mother.
