  From The Pioneers of Missouri book, which is not always accurate: Benjamin was married first to Mary J. Hawkins, who died in 1834, and he was married the second time to Anne E. Overton, who died in March, 1872. After her death he married the widow of Dr. Thomas Hardin, of Boone county. From the History of Callaway County Missouri 1884 book, which is not always accurate: last wife was Mrs. Fannie M. Hardin, daughter of Samuel Kennon, of Boone county. There were no children by this union. From a relative of Fannie Kennon: Fannie M. Hardin (Mary Frances Kennan Hardin) wife of deceased Thomas Jewell Hardin married to Benjamin Cason in 1874. She was born in 1840 and he was her second husband. The location was Boone Co, Mo but she also lived in Audrain Co, MO and then moved to Lonoke, Arkansas.
