Mr. Max William Oldham, age 75 years, of Jefferson City, MO, died Monday, January 5, 2004 at the Westphalia Retirement Center, Westphalia, MO.
Mr. Oldham was born January 4, 1929 at Moultan, Iowa, the son of Rufus K. and Lula Tincher Oldham, both deceased. He was married on July 11, 1951 at Carthage, MO to Joyce Zimmerman, who survives at the home.
A resident of the Jefferson City area for over fifty-five years, Mr. Oldham graduated from Moultan High School, Moultan, Iowa. He was employed as a cleaner and driver with Jefferson Cleaners and later, Quality Cleaners, prior to his retirement in 1984.
Other survivors include: three sons, Steven Oldham and his wife, Sandra of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, John Oldham and his wife, Barbara of Vinton, Iowa, and Mark Oldham and his wife, Jeanne of Sherman, Texas; three daughters, Christine Werdehausen and her husband, Elmer of Holts Summit, MO; Cindy Ennes and her husband, Monte of Holts Summit, MO, and Stacy Barrows of Jefferson City, MO; eleven grandchildren, Angel Morfin, Brad Werdehausen, Jazel Wyatt, William Werdehausen, Chad Ennes, Casey Ennes, Aubrey Oldham, Ashley Oldham, Blaize Oldham, Jenna Oldham, Jada Oldham, and Mackenzie Barrows; three great grandchildren, Brittney Morfin, Raphael Morfin, and Destiny Morfin.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2004 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Robert Kurwicki officiating. Friends may call at the Freeman Mortuary from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to The Hospice of Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri or The American Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
