Miss Mary Meng Dead.
Miss Mary Meng, aged about 60 years, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. J.M. Irvine, of Cedar City, last Friday, and was buried Saturday at the family graveyard, located about two and one-half miles west of Holt Summit. Paralysis caused her death.
Miss Meng was born in southeast Callaway and for many years was a well known teacher in the county. Two brothers and three sisters survive her. They are O.L. Meng, of New Bloomfield; William Meng, of Greenfield, Mo.; Mrs. J.M. Irvine, of Cedar City; Mrs. M.P. Ashworth, of Carrington; and Mrs. Crume, of Sedalia. She had been a member of the Christian church from girlhood and was a conscientious Christian.

- She was a retired school teacher at the time of her death. Luella Waggoner of Cedar City, Missouri, gave the information for her death certificate.
Death certificate also states that she had only lived near Cedar City for 4 years, that she previously lived in Slater, Missouri.
