8863 She was probably the sister of Isaiah Craghead's wife, Feminina Robinson. Isaac was John Burdett's uncle, brother of his mother.

From the Craghead book:
The marriage bond of this couple was signed by Isaiah Craghead and Lucinda's name is given by Wingfield as "Patsy Lucinda Craghead". However, she is recorded in Isaiah's Bible as Betsy Lucinda Robinson. -- but all evidence seems to hint that she was a relative of (his wife) the latter.

8872 In 1880, she was single and living with her sister Susan Kemp and family. Laura Robinson

8873 Died
At the State Lunatic Asylum, April 2nd, 1875, Mrs. Lizzie M. McCredie, wife of Geo. P. McCredie, in the 30th year of her age.
Mrs. McCredie was the daughter of Capt. John Robinson, who died many years ago, near Richland Church, where Mrs. McCredie was born. She made a profession of religion about fifteen years ago and united with the Richland Baptist Church and lived a faithful and devoted christian the balance of her life. She was possessed of many amiable qualities which go to make up the true woman and by her kind charitable disposition had drawn around her many warm, devoted friends. She bore her protracted illness with christian fortitude, never complained of God's providence and was perfectly resigned to His Will - God's grace did not fail her in her dying hour. She asked her friends to sing "Jesus paid it all." After the song was sung she called her husband to her and entreated him to prepare to meet her in heaven, told her heart-broken mother and weeping friends good-bye, and was taken in the arms of Jesus whom she loved and trusted in life, and was borne safely through the waters to the beautiful land beyond the river. She lived a christian life; she died a triumphant death. Just as the sun crimsoned the eastern sky she entered that city where "there is no need of the sun, neither of the moon to shine in it, for the Glory of God did lighten it and the Lamb is the light thereof."
The bereaved husband, the stricken mother and the many relatives and friends of deceased have heartfelt sympathies of the whole community.

8894 A Good Woman Gone
Death of Mrs. Alex. Carter, Sr., at Her Home in This City
Mrs. Alex. Carter, Sr., passed away Thursday at 6:30 o'clock p.m. Mrs. Carter had been in very poor health during the past year and every remedy was tried to relieve her sufferings but in vain. In hopes of recovery the summer was spent at Eldorado Springs. Upon returning home a short while ago she was taken to St. Louis for treatment, the local physicians having exhausted their skill. There she was informed by experts that she was suffering from a malignant tumor. Last week she returned home. The family moved to town this week, becoming settled on East Liberty street Wednesday. Thursday she seemed much better all day until about 5:30 in the afternoon when she rapidly grew worse, passing quietly away an hour later. The deceased lady was born in Oldham county, Ky., June 6, 1829, making her sixty years of age at the time of death. At the age of twenty-two, as Miss Frances Rodman, she wedded John W. Ricketts. She survived him and thirteen years later became the wife of Mr. Alex. Carter, Sr., who now mourns her loss.
In the death of this most estimeable lady, we are conscious that Audrain county has suffered the loss of a good woman. Loved by all who knew her personally, admired and respected by those who but knew of her by reputation, her place will probably never be filled in the hearts of her host of dear relatives and friends. In her was the embodiment of that kind sweet, gentle nature and beautiful character that is possessed by the nobler men and women of earth.
Francis A. Rodman

8895 She was a widow with 2 small children on 1860, on 1870 she was Alexander's wife and only had 1 of her children.

On her daughter, Mollie Rickett French's death certificate, Mollie's father was listed as J.W. Ricketts born Virginia, and mother Frances unreadable, born in Kentucky. See obituary below for more information.

From A History of Northeast Missouri, in the section about Audrain County:
"A notable criminal case is the case of State of Missouri against James N Rodman, for the murder of John W. Ricketts, on the third day of March, 1857. Ricketts and Rodman were brothers-in-law, the wife of Ricketts being Rodman's sister. It was claimed that Rodman shot Ricketts from ambush. Rodman had two trials, one a mistrial, then a change of venue to Pike county, in which he was cleared. After the trial, Rodman left the country. His father had spent a great deal of money in making a defence for him."
