Durward "Woody" Ernest Quarters, 79, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away at Fulton Nursing and Rehab on Sunday, September 6, 2009. He was born July 12, 1930 in Portland, Missouri, the son of the late Ernest and Nora Mae Wright Quarters. On August 27, 1955, he was united in marriage to Anna Lou Hook Quarters who surives.
In addition to his wife of fifty-four years, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three nieces; four nephews; numerous cousins and friends.
Durward served our country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a farmer.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri with Pastor Bruce Williamson and Rev. Ron Baker officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. Interment will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery. He was a truck driver for Mo -Con, C.T. Wolfmeier and Howard Vandeliecht.
He was a member of Unity Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Brenda Buckner, Jefferson City; four sons, David Raps, Kenneth Raps and James Raps, all of Fulton, and Marvin Raps, Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Dorothy Jean Neal and Louise Wetherell, both of Fulton; three brothers, Billy Raps and Wayne Raps, both of Fulton, and Odie Raps, Mexico; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and four step grandchildren.
One infant son preceded him in death.

Eric Benjamin Raps, 23, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, August 30, 2009, at his home. He was born September 24, 1985, in Jefferson City, Missouri .
He attended New Bloomfield and South Callaway schools.
Eric worked for Doolittle Trailer Manufacturing in Holts Summit for nearly seven years. He enjoyed riding four wheelers and dirt bikes, working on cars, listening to loud music, and drinking Pepsi and beer. He loved his 2002 Chevy truck and was always trying to convince family and friends to help him clean it.
He is survived by his mother, Tammy Robinson and husband Charles of Topeka, Kansas; his father, Kenneth Raps and wife Connie of Fulton; two sisters: Amanda Hoelscher of Jefferson City, Lacy Raps of Topeka, Kansas; one brother, Chuck Robinson of Topeka, Kansas; paternal grandmother, Goldie Raps of Fulton; maternal grandfather, Earl Colter of New Bloomfield; three stepbrothers: Jason Jacobs, Chad Jacobs and Derek Jacobs all of Fulton; one stepsister, Alicia Jacobs of Holts Summit; and nine nieces and nephews: Mary Jo Brault, Austin Blake Raps, Kenneth Leon Jacobs II, Somer Jacobs, Vincent Hoelscher, Baily Clark, Jace Jacobs, Caden Jacobs and Brayton Jacobs.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald Raps; maternal grandmother, Martha Colter; and Kenneth Jacobs.
Friends will be received from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2009, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Crum officiating. Interment will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
