8380 George L. Plybon, 71, of Fulton, MO, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at the University of Missouri Hospital & Clinics in Columbia, MO.
He was born March 4, 1932, the son of Lewis and Helen (Hill) Plybon. On January 21, 1952 he was united in marriage to Neoma Zimmerman. She survives at the home.
Mr. Plybon worked for Commonwealth Theaters for 28 years and owned and operated GP's liquor store until 2002. He also owned the Christmas Tree Lot next to the store for many years. He found most enjoyment working and visiting with people.
In addition to his wife of 51 years, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his mother Helen Plybon of Fulton; one son, Wayne Plybon and his wife Malinda of Auxvasse; one daughter, Lori Craig and her husband Kevin of Fulton; two sisters, Gloria Wren and her husband Clayton of Jefferson City and Betty Fischer and her husband Bob of Fulton; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and dear friends. His father and his son, Jeffery Plybon preceded Mr. Plybon in death.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 27, at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, MO with Brother Bruce Williamson officiating. Interment will be in the Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton, MO.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday, December 27 at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, MO.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Missouri Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Blvd., Fulton, MO 65251.

They raised a nephew, Woodrow Quintard. I have not figured out who his parents were. Craghead book says he was a nephew of George Plybon.
He went by the name of Walter Quintard, not Woodrow. He is buried in Auxvasse cemetery, next to George and Ella Plybon. He died Nov. 22, 1927, age 15, after getting tetinus from an exploding blank gun cartridge.

He was a retired farmer at the time of his death. His wife gave the information for his death certificate.

His parents were John William Plyborn and Amanda Divers, both of Franklin Co., Virginia.

1910 census lists her last name as her first name. Shows 12 children born, 7 living.

1930 census, she is living with son Charles and family.

On son Charles's death certificate, her maiden name is spelled Polacheke

According to daughter Abbie's obituary, there were 13 children, all but 2 were dead by 1961.

She died at home, 7 miles southwest of Fulton, rural Callaway county, Missouri. She had lived at that place for 11 years. Her parents were Joseph Polseck and unknown. Her daughter, Abbie Day of Fulton, gave the information for her death certificate.

8392 He lived in Auxvasse township for 44 years. He was a widower when he died, wife's name was Margarete E. He had been a farmer all his life. Death certificate says he was born in Germany, but some census forms say Missouri, some say Austria. Son, Fred Polacek signed his death certificate and did not know who the parents were, but did know they were born in Germany. Fred lived in Stedman Missouri at that time. 1900 census says he came to US in 1852 and had lived here 47 years. 1860 census says he and his older sister Laura were born in Missouri. Laura in 1880 shows birth in Austria.
