In 1870, their children were living with John M. and Annie D. Austin. No record found of either parent.
In 1880, Sarah Debo and children living with John Austin, named as his sister. The name Austin is very hard to read, but was clear on 1870. Perhaps the original marriage record was hard to read and mistranscribed as Martin when it should have been Austin? I am leaving her name as it is on the marriage transcription for now.

From Katherine McClure's File:
My research begins with my great-great grandfather, Bennett Hail Maxey, who was born about 1808, in Oglethorpe County, Georgia, the son of Hail Maxey and Dicey Craighead.
Bennett Hail married my great-great grandmother, Frances Eason, on October 26, 1836 in Oglethorpe County. Frances Eason was born about 1810, in Georgia.
Bennett Hail and Frances raised their children in Georgia. The family moved to Arkansas prior to 1858. Bennett Hail first appears on the Izard County, Arkansas tax records as paying taxes there in 1858. The family appears on the 1860 Izard County census in Sylamore Township, Blue Mountain Post Office. The census shows B. H. Maxey, age 57, a farmer, born in Georgia; wife Frances, age 50, born in Georgia; and children Dicey J., age 18; James F., age 16; and Martha A., age 14, all born in Georgia.
Frances died prior to 1875, in Stone County (formerly Izard County), Arkansas.
