5505 Mrs. Ella Sallee, 56 years old, died suddenly from heart trouble at 7:00 o'clock Tuesday evening at her home, 309 East Fifth street, this city. She had been unwell several weeks, but her illness did not take a serious turn until last Friday.
Funeral services were held at her home Thursday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock, by the Rev. J.A. Taylor, pastor of the Fulton Baptist church. Burial was in the Richland Baptist church cemetery beside the body of her husband, the late John E. Sallee.
Mrs. Sallee was born in Boone county and was married to Mr. Sallee in Mexico twenty-seven years ago. They lived on a farm near McCredie the first five years after their marriage, and then moved nearer Fulton. Mr. Sallee died on October 17, 1908, and afterward Mrs. Sallee and her children moved to Fulton.
One son, Edward, and one daughter, Ruth, survive her. William Y. Hitt, of Kansas City, a brother, and Mrs. J.M.B. Martin, of Grand Junction, Col., a sister, are living.
Mrs. Sallee was a woman of gracious manner and was loved and admired by her neighbors and aquaintances. She was active in the work of the Baptist church, of which she had been a member forty-five years. Many friends sympathize with those who are bereaved by her death.
