Her date of birth on 1900 census was October 1879, but on death certificate it was Sept 19, 1877. Don't know which was right but I suspect the 1879 one is correct. Her parents were not married in 1877. Death certificate shows her home as the Callaway county infirmary, and that she died in the State Hospital. She was a widow of James Hill. 5412	From Orange Co., VA marriage records: Eliza Mildred Herring married John Hill 8 Sept 1838; witness, Michael L. Eheart and James J. Lewis and Reynolds Chapman; bondsman, James J. Lewis; daughter of Sarah Herring. Not sure who this Sarah Herring was. We know that John Hill was the son of Richard and Elizabeth Hill named in the estate settlement of Henry Hill at the beginning of this document. This Hill family was from Albemarle Co. 5414	speculation that this John Hill may have been a brother of Henry Hill. This Henry Hill of Virginia was my 5th great grandfather, making this John Hill my 5th great granduncle. Not proven.	John Hill
5415	This is partially speculation. I found a reliable website that connected John, son of Henry Hill with this John Hill. I do not have their source. However, the Hill and Brockman families did live near each other, there are many marriages between the Hills, Herrings, and Simco's in Albemarle Co. Va. The marriage of John Hill and Agnes Brockman is proved both by marriage record and Simco family history. The connection of this John Hill and Henry Hill is not documented yet. I do feel this is the right John Hill. I have found more connections with this John Hill and other children of Henry Hill which also lead me to believe he was a son of Henry Hill. 5420	Funeral Service Sunday Afternoon at Central Christian Church John William Hill, 70 years old, a life-long resident of the Central community west of Fulton, died at 2:35 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the home in west Fulton. He had been seriously ill for two weeks and had been bedfast since October. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Central Christian Church, three miles west of Fulton, probably by the Rev. Eagan Herndon of Centralia, and burial will be in Central cemetery. Mr. Hill was a son of James and Elisabeth Hill, pioneer residents of Callaway county. He was born on a farm in the Central community on June 9, 1865, and farmed in that community nearly all of his life. He moved to Fulton eight years ago. He was first married to Mrs. Maggie McClellan, who preceded him in death. He was later married to Miss Lena Sims of Callaway, who survives. To the first union were born six children, four of whom survive. They are: Edward Hill, Newton Square, Pa.; Tom Hill, Staunton, Ill.; Mrs. Nonie (Jack) Bullard and Mrs. Guy Thomas, Fulton. By the second union, one child was born, Mrs. Lewis Plybon, Fulton. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Inez Gosling, Centralia. Mr. Hill was a member of Central Christian Church. His passing brings sincere regret to a wide circle of friends.	John William Hill
5421	J. W. Hill Miss Maggie E. McClelland 13 Feb 1890 F360 J. W. Hill Miss Lena Sims 25 Aug 1915 J286 Mrs. Roy McIntire of Fulton, Missouri, gave the information for his death certificate. Confusing bit of information, in John's obituary, it gives a surviving son named Tom. There is no record of this son on any census. He is not on 1900, he would have been born after 1900 but before 1904. He is not on 1910. Maggie's obituary says she leaves 6 children, a son named Tom would make the 6th child. The only reason I can think of why a child is not on the census from a very young age is that something was medically wrong with him and he was sent away to a home or school somewhere else. He is mentioned in several relatives obits, so I am sure he died exist, he never did live at home. Another "very" odd fact is that on the 1910 census, Maggie is listed as wife. Maggie died in 1904. I have a photo of her headstone, and I have a copy of her obituary. I am sure this is the correct family on both census years. 5422	Robert Hill, about 50 years old, died Monday at his home near Earl and was buried Tuesday at Millersburg. He had been in ill health about two years, but his condidtion had not been considered serious. He was a son of Ambrose and Betsy Hill, early settlers in Bourbon township. 5427	Lydia Hill was probably a daughter of John Hill and unknown. This is not proven. John Hill was probably a brother of Henry Hill, my 5th great grandfather. Their relationship is not proven. Nancy T. Tatum was the daughter of Lydia Tatum, found in the 1850 Callaway Co. Missouri, census.. The connection of Gravett Tatum and William Tatum, is unknown at this time, they are undoubtedly related. Thomas as a son and Frances as a daughter, is speculation based on ages, relationships in Albemarle Co., Virginia between the Tatum, Hill, and Herring families, and the eventual movement to the same area of Missouri in the same time frame. I do not have positive proof of their relationship, it is speculation at this point. We know they were connected, just not positive how. 5431	Death of an Aged Lady Mrs. Mariah Dulin, wife of Mr. Thos. G. Dulin, died at her daughter's (Mrs. Mary Dawson) residence, near this city on Saturday January 25, 1879, aged about 91 years. She was raised in Albemarle County Va. and came to this state in 1831. She has been married three times. Her first husband was John B. Herring, her second husband was Ezra B. Sitton, both dead. Her present husband is now in a helpless condition, unable to leave his bed. She was a member of the Old Baptist Church for many years.
