Child of a Former Callaway Man Dies
Donna, the two-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William T. Hendrix of St. Louis, and a niece of Mrs. Paul C. Turner and S.L. Hendrix of Fulton, died at 11:00 o'clock Tuesday night in De Paul Hospital, St. Louis, where she had undeergone a delicate operation. Funeral arrangements were not known in Fulton, Wednesday.
The child is the same that underwent a marvelous operation for a stomach defect two days after her birth. She completely recovered from the ordeal and became a healthy normal child, but her death resulted from a recurrence of the same trouble. Her father is president of the Longlife Roofing Company of St. Louis and is a native of Callaway county. She is the only child of this family. Friends extend sincere sympathy. | Donna Zara Hendrix

Found her on 1860 census living in house of William Carrington age 23... no reason given. 1860 shows that she has two brothers, John 25, James 21, all from Kentucky, living alone on a farm, no other Hendrix in the county. I can find no connection between these families, I imagine she was working at the Carrington house. 1870 turned up a lot of Hendrix, one son Charles born in 1876 married Annie Carrington, RR's daughter. These Hendrix were from Virginia and appear to have been in Mo. quite a while, maybe not in Callaway.

Nancy J. Herring 36
Jas. C. English 9, no explaination as to who this child is or why he lives with this family.
They are living next door to his mother, Hester Kemp Herring.
I think he and Nancy divorced.
A Foster family researcher gives his marriage date to Anna Foster as 11 September 1888. This is before the death of Nancy, so I am assuming they divorced.
Cannot find him on 1900
in 1910, name is Albert T. he's living in the Callaway Co. Alms House (poor farm). He is listed as WD (widowed). No other family members with him. He is listed as being blind.
His death certificate lists him as married at time of death, but that is not always correct on death certificates. His parents names on his death cert. are incorrect, but they are somewhat logical. The info for his death cert. was given by his son, John F., who as far as I can tell never lived with his father.
