Grace Waunita Salmons, 84, of Fulton, died Monday, March 30, 2009 at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
She was born July 30, 1924, in Callaway County, the daughter of the late Perry and Grace (Lander) Foster. She married Elmer Salmons in November of 1944 in Fulton. He preceded her in death on September 18, 1999.
She is survived by two sons, Tony Salmons and Ricky Salmons both of Fulton; one sister, Dorothy (Frank) Lechner of Fulton; one brother Elmo (Shirley) Foster of Fulton; and sister-in-law Margaret Foster of Fulton; one granddaughter Shawna Salmons of Jefferson City; and one great-granddaughter, Jordan Salmons of Jefferson City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter Anna Lea Thomas, and one brother Alfred Foster.
She had worked for the shoe factory in Fulton. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. | Grace Waunita Foster

Two Deaths in Family.
John R. Foster, manager of the telephone exchange at Boydsville, folled his mother, Mrs. Mary Foster, of Mokane, in death just two hours. Mr. Foster died of congestion of the lungs at his home on Monday, and his mother died the same day of an abscess at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R.M. Clark, of Mokane.
Mrs. Foster was buried at Old Middle River cemetery Tuesday afternoon and her son was buried at Boydsville Wednesday morning. His funeral was preached by Eld. Egan Herndon, of Centralia. He is survived by four sisters and two brothers, besides his wife, two sons and one daughter. | John Riley Foster

Kathleen Kelly Foster Neukomm, 92, of Quincy, Illinois, formerly of Fulton, Missouri passed away Saturday, January 19, 2008. She was born May 3, 1915 in Linn Creek, Missouri a daughter of Claude E. and Lessie Pritchett (Traw) Foster. On February 20, 1937 she was united in marriage to Thomas Jacob Neukomm who preceded her in death.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three daughters, Mildred K. Cory of Quincy, Illinois, Elizabeth A. Blackwell of Osage Beach, Missouri, and Jane F. McCollum of Albuquerque, New Mexico; nine grandchildren, Fred Neukomm Cory of Quincy, Illinois, Paul R. Cory of the state of Georgia, Stuart T. Cory of the state of Ohio, David B. Cory of Quincy, Illinois, Nicholas A. Cory of Quincy, Illinois, Chris C. Pantaenius of Kansas City, Missouri, Kathleen C. Pantaenius Jeffries of Millersburg, Missouri, Kelly L. McCollum of the state of New Mexico, and Thomas J. McCollum of the state of New Mexico; other relatives and many dear friends.
Kathleen was a teacher and homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Richland, Missouri, First Presbyterian Church of Fulton, Missouri. A graduate of William Woods University, she was an initiated alumna of Alpha Chi Omega Social Sorority, Delta Chi Chapter. She was a recipient of the William Woods Green Owl Award, fifty-year member of PEO Sisterhood, member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, board member of the Winston Churchill Memorial and Library, and longtime member of several bridge clubs. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved and promoted education. She contributed to many college scholarships. She considered her home and family a priority. A strong believer in God, country, and friendship. Kathleen's love for music and books brought joy to her family and surroundings. She enjoyed playing the piano, attending musicals, and traveling. Kathleen was a great cook who enjoyed family dinners. In her youth she won many contests in piano, oratory, and typing.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Fulton Presbyterian Church in Fulton, Missouri with Rev. Jennifer Turick officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. Buck Foster Dies
Heart trouble proved fatal to William Walter (Buck) Foster, 64 years old, a native south Callawegian, at his home in Auxvasse, last week-end. Funeral services were conducted at the Dry Fork Baptist church, west of Guthrie, where he had been a member many years, and burial took place in the church cemetery.
Mr. Foster was born and reared near New Bloomfield and was a son of John M. and Lucy Foster. At one lime he operated the large Jacob Maddox farm, cast of McCredie. He was married three times, first to Miss Martha L. Vaughn, then to Mrs. Ella Clatterbuck, and about two years ago to Mrs. McKey Kidwell of Auxvasse, who survives.

Services For Mrs. Witcher Are Tomorrow
Services for Mrs. Deonie Frances Witcher, who died yesterday at the Callaway Memorial will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Maupin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Witcher was a patient at the hospital for the past week before her death.
She was born on April 24, 1875, in Bell, Texas, and was the daughter of H.S Frances and Alzairyann Coughren Frances.
She married J.S. Witcher on May 28, 1893. He died on May 15, 1959. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Maple Autrey, Mountain Air, N. Mex; Mrs. Mildred Worthen, Lubbock, Texas; Mrs. Gladys Day, Columbia, and Mrs. Ethel Hamilton, Fulton; two sons, George Witcher, Vinson, Okl, and Cecil Witcher, Fulton; 18 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
Rev. Harold Garrett will officiate at the services. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
