393	Elizabeth Allen Davis passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 28, 2009, surounded by her family at Woodwinds hospital in Woodbury, MN. She was born on October 15, 1912 in Williamsburg, Mo., the only child of Charles Pleasant Allen, Jr. and Martha Blades Allen. On June 25, 1939 she was united in marriage to Floyd Davis who preceded her in death on April 20, 1972. Elizabeth was a graduate of William Woods College and worked as a bookkeeper for the catering service there for twenty-five years. She spent most of her life in Williamsburg and Fulton. Since October 2003, she has resided in Woodbury near her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fulton, Mo. 395	She died in the State Hospital in Fulton where she had been for several years. She died of starvation because she had an obstruction of the esophigus and they let her starve to death. Note: I would think they had I.V.'s by 1945 and do not understand how they could have let her starve to death simply because she could not swallow food. Of course I do not know what really happened because the State Hospital has no records, but reading this death certificate really bothered me.	Etta Martha Allen

Their children were Robert, John, Joseph, Thomas, Jane and Eleanor. Robert married MARGARET RALLSTON, and died in 1872 without issue. Colonel John Boyd, still living in Callaway Co., was a soldier in the war of 1812. He married MARY A. SCOTT, of MO., by whom he had William S., John R., Joseph, Benjamin F., Charles O., Edward L., Grezelda A., Lydia A., George F., Mary E., Sarah E., and Thomas A. The first 7 are living.
