I believe she is buried in Pioneer Cemetery in Fulton. The cemetery was probably built on her husband's land. There is a Rachel Nichols, born 1770 buried there and her son Felix G. Nichols, and her husband, George Nichols, who still have headstones in 2009. I am thinking the Rachel is probably his wife who was also called Rebecca since these headstones are all next to each other. | Rachel Rebecca Davis

In the 1900 Census, the family is located in the 2nd Ward of Joplin, Jasper County, MO, on page 16B. In addition to the children, Sanders' brother, Charles and a cousin, William Hook are in the home.
In the 1920 Census, Sanders and Barbara are in St. Louis, MO, in ED 302, page 3A. With them are their daughter, Nydia and her husband, Wm. Price. Sanders is a contractor and William Price is a salesman.
__________
Among the native sons of Missouri now actively associated with mining interests in Jasper county is Sanders T. DAVIS, the foreman for the Missouri Lead and Zinc Company. He was born in Callaway county, in 1864, and is a representative of one of the pioneer families of that locality, his grandfather, Gerard DAVIS, having removed to this state at an early day from Virginia. His son, Richard T. DAVIS, the father of our subject, was born in Callaway county, and was there reared upon a farm. After arriving at years of maturity he married Miss Julia CARRINGTON, a daughter of Judge William CARRINGTON, who removed from the Blue Grass state to Missouri at an early period in its development. He became a leading and influential citizen of Callaway county, was honored with public office, and for a number of years was the county judge. Hon W.T. CARRINGTON, an uncle of our subject, is the present state school superintendent of Missouri and is most prominent in educational circles.
No events of special importance occurred to vary the usual routine of farm life for Sanders T. DAVIS in his youth. He attended the common schools near his home and in the summer months he assisted in the labors of fields and meadow. Not desiring to make farm work his life occupation, however, he at length left home, and for a time was in the employ of the Citizens' Traction Company, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, as foreman. He also spent some time in St. Louis, and for the past three years he has resided in Joplin, where he occupies the position of foreman for the Missouri Lead and Zinc Company. He is well qualified for the important duties which devolve upon him and has the unqualified confidence of the company which he represents, for he makes their interests his own, and is energetic, prompt and notably reliable. In connection with his other interests he is superintendent and manager of the C.A. Davis mill and mine.
Mr. DAVIS was united in marriage to Miss Barbara JORDAN, a native of Cole county, Missouri, and a daughter of William JORDAN, one of the pioneer settlers there. Mrs. DAVIS is a cousin of Mrs. Governor STONE. By her marriage she has become the mother of four children: Nydia, Nedia, William and Marie. In politics Mr. DAVIS is a pronounced Republican, deeply interested in the questions of the day and the success of his party. He was a delegate to the county convention in Carthage in 1900, and in 1901 was elected a member of the city council of Joplin from the Second ward for a two years' term. Socially he is connected with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He is industrious, determined and progressive, traits which are manifest in his business career, in his political work and in every walk of life - and it is such characteristics that have led to the rapid and marvelous development of the west.

His children came to Callaway Co. Mo., in 1830
The following is from the Pioneer Families of Missouri book written in 1876, which is not always accurate:
DAWSON, Elijah Dawson, of Nelson Co., VA., married a MISS GENTRY, and had Robert, Martin, Elizabeth and James. He was married the 2nd time to JUDITH GILLIAM, by whom he had Achilles G., Mary, Samuel and Judith. Most of his children live in Callaway Co.
**
Grandfather and father of Elijah Dawson, from the book Albemarle County in Virginia By Edgar Woods:
The name of Dawson has place in the records from the beginning of the county. At the first meeting of the County Court, Martin Dawson was appointed to appraise the estate of Charles Blaney in the vicinity of the Cove. In 1747 he patented three hundred acres on Buck Island, which he sold in 1761 to John Burrus. He lived on Ballenger's Creek, and was no doubt the father of Rev. Martin Dawson, one of the earlist Baptist preachers of Albemarle. The son commenced preaching during the revolutionary War, and as soon as the statute of religious freedom was passed, _ was greatly in demand in this respect as well as in the pulpit. He supplied the Baptist churches throughout the county, but his labors were chiefly given to the Totier Church, which was commonly called by his name. His home was on a farm of more than five hundred acres which lay southeast of Hughes's Shop, and there he finished his earthly course in 1821. His wife's name was Elizabeth, and of their twelve children, Martin, the eldest, removed to Gallia county, Ohio, John in 1812 t Mississippi Territory, and Elijah, who married Martha (daughter of Benajah Gentry) to Missouri.
