1313	From the 1984 Callaway Book: Herschel Leroy Jones and Lola Mae Braham were married March 3, 1946 at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church, Hatton Missouri. They bought and have lived since their marriage on the former John Wyder farm on St. Charles Road, Bourbon Twp. 48N, section 4, range 10, Kingdom City, Missouri. Lola was born on October 13, 1921 at Hatton, in Callaway county, the first child of Percy G. Braham and Mae Clatterbuck. Her father was born in 1891 at Tebbetts, Missouri. Her mother was born in New Bloomfield. Lola Is a retired elementary school teacher who taught thirty years in the schools of Callaway County. She taught the last 22 years in third grade at Hatton-McCredie. They are active members of the Pleasant Grove Methodist church at Hatton, Missouri. ************	Lola Braham
1314	Mae married Percy G. Braham on September 19, 1920, he was born July 1, 1891, the son of James Braham and Verinna Rauschelbach. They had 3 children: Gladys Marie, Lola Mae and Granville Payne, Percy G. Brahan was a rural mail carrier for the Hatton community a total of forty-one years starting in the spring of 1920. He carried out of the post office at Harron until it was closed in 1953. He was then transferred to the Auxvasse post office and continued carriny mail on an enlarged route until his retirement in 1961. Prior to his position as a rural mail carrier, Percy served in the Army during World War 1 in France. Company B. 354th Infantry, 89th Division. They lived in Hatton in a home bought from Madison Brooks. This house was across the road from the old Hatton store and post office. Percy was born July 1, 1891, at Tebbetts, Missouri, the first of three sons to James and Verinna Rauschellbach Braham. His parents were born in 1850 and 1871, respectively. Percy and Mae had three children: Mrs. Leroy (Lola) Jones, Kingdom City, Mars. Glenn (Gladys) McCarty, Centralia, and Granville Braham, Overland Park, Kansas. Mae died in 1926, age 33 years. In 1928, Percy married Della Gibbs Iman, who was born October 1, 1889, one of eight children to William Henry Iman, who was born in 1853, and Martha Barksdale Powell Iman, born in 1851. Percy retired in 1961 at the age of 70 and enjoyed raising a large garden, tending a yard and fishing in a lake on his property. He died March 2, 1976. 1330	Lela (Frog) Boldwin, 83, of New Bloomfield, died Friday, November 27, 2009, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. She was born August 27, 1926 in Tebbetts, the daughter of the late Evert Otto and Rosie Geretrude (Summers) Branch. On August 30, 1950, she married David Boldwin in Fulton. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2001. Lela worked for the Samuel Shoe Company, McGraw-Edison and for St. Mary's Health Center. She is also survived by one son, Gary D. Boldwin and wife Alma of Rich Fountain; two daughters, Frances Vaughn and husband Richard, and Brenda Blakey-Smith, both of Fulton; seven grandchildren, Chris and Charles Vaughn, Jody Neal, Aaron Martin, David Blakey, Chauncey and Eric Boldwin; nine great- grandchildren; one brother, Everrett Branch, and one sister, Dorothy Spencer, both of New Bloomfield. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Jared Blakey; three brothers; two sisters; and one son-in-law. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Burial will be in the Bull Cemetery . 1335	Mrs. Eugene Hardin Dies at Hospital Native Callawegian Suffered Stroke of Paralysis on Tuesday. Mrs. Minerva Jane Hardin, 72, died Friday afternoon at 3:45 o'clock at the Callaway Hospital where she had been a patient since Tuesday when she suffered a stroke of paralysis at her home, 309 Oak street. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock at the Wallace Funeral Home and burial will be in the Ebenezer Baptist Church cemetery. The Rev. A.O. Hallam, pastor in the Methodist circuit, will officiate. Mrs. Hardin was a member of the Court Street Methodist Church. Mrs. Hardin was born March 10, 1876, a daughter of James D. and Bell Johnson Branch, who lived on a farm near Holts Summit. She was married to Eugene O. Hardin on March 8, 1922, and they lived in Fulton all their married life. For a number of years Mrs. Hardin was an attendant at the State Hospital. Mr. Hardin died on August 15, 1942. Surviving are the following brothers and sisters, A.J. Branch and S.W. Branch of Holts Summit, L.H. 1348	An Aged Woman Dead Mrs. Elizabeth J. Henderson, aged 83 years, died at the home of her son-in-law, S.P. Holt, last Thursday night and was buried Friday at Hopewell Baptist church, west of Mew Bloomfield, after funeral services by Rev. G.A. Mitchell, of Mexico. Mrs. Henderson's death breaks a family of five geneations, she having eleven living great-great grand children. She was born in Halifax county, Virginia, and came to Callaway county with her parents when she was but five years old. In young womanhood she was married to William Vaughan, who was killed in the battle of Corinth, Miss., in the civil war, in which he participated as a Confederate. Some years later she was married to Alexander henderson, who has been dead a number of years. Mrs. Henderson is survived by five children of her first husband, namely; Mrs. S.P. Holt, New Bloomfield, Charles Vaughan and Mrs. C. A. Emmons, Marlow, Okla., Mrs. Laura Foster, Kansas City, and Thomas Vaughan, New Bloomfield. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist church and was a most estimable Christian woman, and her death is generally mourned in New Bloomfield vicinity, where she was so well known and so much loved. 1349	Death of an Aged Lady We are called upon to chronicle the death of Mrs. Bettie Henderson [daughter of Robert Brandon and Jane Holt] at the home of her daughter Mrs. S. P. Holt in New Bloomfield, Thursday, October 28, 1909, aged 83 years. Mrs. Henderson had been in declining health for several months, and her death was not unexpected and she was prepared to meet her Master, having been a follower of Him since early girlhood. Funeral services were held at Hopewell Baptist Church near New Bloomfield Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. C. A. Mitchell of Mexico, in the presence of a large crowd of sympathetic relatives and friends. Mrs. Henderson was twice married, the first time to William Vaughn, New Bloomfield, and is survived by the following children: Mrs. S. P. Holt and R. C. Vaughn, New Bloomfield; J. A. Vaughn, Mexico; Mrs. C. A. Emmons and C. H. Vaughn, Marlow, Oklahoma; and Mrs. Laura Foster, Kansas City.
