Zimmerman Rites Scheduled Monday
Joseph Zimmerman, 68, of 311 Hart St., (Jefferson City) died Friday morning at St. Mary's Hospital.
A retired cement finisher, he was born in Cole County, June 8, 1891, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Zimmerman.
He was married to Miss Elma Sacks Oct. 14, 1914, in Jefferson City. She died July 23, 1946.
Survivors include three sons, Earl Zimmerman of Jefferson City, Warren Zimmerman of Fulton and Henry Zimmerman of Dowagiac, Mich.; four daughters, Mrs. George Herring of Fulton, Mrs. John Brugioni Jr. of Jefferson City, Mrs. George Plybon of Sedalia and Mrs. Max Oldham of Jefferson City; and 18 grandchildren.
He was a member of St. Peter's Cathedral. A rosary will be recited at a local funeral home at 7:30 p.m. today. Services will be held at 9:a.m. Monday at the Catherdral, with the Right Rev. Msgr. J.A. Vogelweid officiating. Burial in the Resurrection cemetery. | Joseph Zimmerman

They were accompanied to Jefferson City by Mr. and Mrs. Ralph James of Fulton who witnessed the ceremony. Mr. Herring is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Herring of Fulton, and his bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Zimmerman of Holt Summit. She is a graduate of the Jefferson City high school. Irving Lee Zumwalt, sixteen-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Zumwalt, seven miles west of New Bloomfield, while playing about the home Monday, April 3, fell on the floor, a sharp stick entering his nose and penetrating his brain, from the effects of which he died last Friday, April 7.
