In a letter, Feb. 13, 1886 from W.H.Holman to sister Mary R. Caldwell, he says" Abigail Holman was born 10 April 1767".
Kay Schmidt's handed down Family Group Sheet has her born April 10th 1763.
The 1810 census of Woodford Co., KY lists Edward Holeman, females over 45 =1. This must be Abigail, so it would put her born before 1865. | Abigail Williams

Willing, Sarah W - Dorsey, James Mar 20 1862
From the History of Callaway County Missouri, 1884, page 644-645
....he was married to Miss Sarah Willing, daughter of William Willing, of this county, who was also willing. The following year, in 1862, Mr. Dorsey enlisted in the Confederate army, under General Dick Taylor, the "Old Gray Fox" of the Trans-Mississippi Department of the South. Soon after his enlistment he was detailed for hospital service, taking charge of the hospital at Demopolis, Alabama, which he superintended for two years.
His wife, Mrs. Dorsey, went with him South, and served as his assistant in the hospital during his entire term. No one, so far as we know, has written a book bearing witness to the services and sacrifices and sufferings of the noble women of the South for their "sunny, southern Southland" during the late war, a book which, when properly written, will be one of the proudest testimonials to the patriotism, self-sacrificing devotion and heroic fortitude of womankind, ever contributed to the history of our race. And when such a book is written, as it inevitable one day will be, the name of Mrs. Dorsey will occupy an honorable place on the pages, for her two long years of services she rendered without money and without price to the sick and dying soldiers of the South, --services such as only a tender and gentle-hearted woman could perform.
...Mr. and Mrs. Dorsey have no children of their own, but have an adopted daughter, Naomi Blumfield, whom they are rearing and educating. He and his wife are both members of the Christian church, and Mr. D. has held all the stations in the I.O.O.F. at Fulton. | Sarah W. Or Sally Willing

Mrs. Sue Holt Dies at California Home
Native of Fulton, Will be Brought Home for Burial in Hillcrest
Mrs. Sue Holt, 85 years old, a native of Fulton and a resident of the city until eight years ago, died at 4:51 o'clock, Friday morning at the home of her son, Will Holt, in Martines, Calif., following an illness of several weeks, complicated by a stroke of paralysis.
The body will be brought back to Fulton, arriving Tuesday at Mexico, from whence it will be brought overland to Fulton by Herdon-Taylor-Blatner. The body will lie in state at the funeral home until the hour of the funeral. The services will be conducted at 10:00 o'clock Wednesday morning, at the First Christian Church by the pastor, the Rev. Dr. W. Garnet Alcorn. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mrs. Holt was born July 11, 1848 in Fulton, on what is known as the Willing property on Jefferson street. The house that now stands there was erected by her father before the Civil War. Mrs. Holt was a daughter of William and Eliza Willing, pioneer residents.
She was married to Benjamin Holt of Callaway county, who passed away about 40 years ago. Three children survive. They are; Will Holt, Martinez, Calif.; Ben Holt, San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Zella Holt Kreuts of Fulton. Mrs. Holt was the last of her immediate family.
Mrs. Holt was a lover of children and to many of the youger people who lived in the neighborhood of the Holt home, she was a second mother. Whe was very active up until the time she was stricken. She enjoyed going out and often attended the picture shows and other entertainments in Fulton alone. Since going to California, she has traveled considerably, having motored through Canada, Mexico, and numerous states of the West.
When Franklin D. Roosebelt visited California three years ago, Mrs. Holt was presented to him as the oldest member of the Democratic Club at that place, and one of its most staunch members. Her friends in Fulton remember her as a lover of the South and its cause during the Civil War, and she told of many incidents that occurred during war times here.
Mrs. Holt united with the Christian Church when a young girl and remained a devout member throughout her lifetime, taking as active part in church work in her earlier life.
Her passing brings sincere regret to all her acquaintances, not only among the older people, but among the younger group who enjoyed her stories and her winning ways. | Susan A. Willing
