She was born November 18, 1931 in Callaway County, Missouri a daughter of the late William B. and Julia (Kemp) Vaughn. On November 3, 1950 she was united in marriage to John Branch who preceded her in death on January 3, 1992. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one daughter, Tracey Wilson of New Bloomfield, Missouri; three sons, Jack Branch and his wife Diane of Fulton, Missouri, William L. Branch and his wife Janet of Fulton, Missouri, and Mike Branch and his wife Vickie of Fenton, Missouri; one brother, Dale Vaughn and his wife, Bonnie of Fulton, Missouri; six grandchildren, Angela Adrian, Jeremy Atterberry, Lucas Pickering, Myles Branch, Amanda Branch, and Marissa Branch; four great grandchildren, Lochlyn Adrian, Kolton Adrian, Lidya Atterberry, and Berk Atterberry; three sisters-in-law, Rachel Vaughn, Pauline Vaughn and Jessie Vaughn; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, two sisters, two grandsons, Brandon Branch and Tyler Branch, and special friend, Willis Kelly. Mary owned and operated Mary's Beauty Shop in Fulton and the G-M Bar and Saloon in Auxvasse. She was a Grand Noble of the Rebekah Lodge in Auxvasse and served as President of the Auxvasse Merchants Association for several years. She was a licensed welder. She enjoyed fishing, writing, drawing, poetry, gardening, and she was an antique enthusiast. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2008 at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri. Interment will be at the Auxvasse Cemetery. Beauregard retreated to Corinth after the Battle of Shiloh, pursued by Union Major General Henry W. Halleck. General Beauregard abandoned the town when General Halleck approached, letting it fall into the Union's hands. Since Halleck approached so cautiously, digging entrenchments at every stop for over a month, this action has been known as the Siege of Corinth. The Union sent Maj. Gen. 10385	Fern L. Houf, 97, of Fulton, died Tuesday, April 20, 2004. She was born September 18, 1906, to Charles & Flora Vincent. She married Herschel Houf, preceding her in death in 1988. She is survived by two sons, Jimmie Houf, Fulton & H. Glen Houf, Mendenhall, Miss.; two daughters, Hazel Stubblefield, Auxvasse, Joyce Schulte, Creston, Iowa; sister: Lola Truitt, New Florence, Mo. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Mon., April 26 at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. Burial in Callaway Memorial Gardens. 10387	Died At The Masonic Home Word was received in Fulton Tuesday, that Mrs. Mary Francis Harrison, 87 years old, died early Tuesday morning at the Masonic Home in St. Louis, where she had lived for a year. She was the mother of Will E. Harrison, east of Fulton. A funeral service will be conducted at Williamsburg, Wednesday, at 2:30 o'clock.	Mary Frances Vincent

10397	Aged Woman Dead Mrs. Mary Allen, aged 82 years, widow of John K. Allen, died Monday of senile debility at her home, two miles southeast of Dixie. Funeral and burial occurred Tuesday at Mount tabor Christian church, of which she was a member. The funeral was by Eld. Paul Wright. Mrs. Allen was born in Tennessee and came to Callaway county with her parents when four years old. She was married in 1844 to Henry Sparks, who died a few years later, leaving two sons, Clifford and John Sparks, both of whom now live near Dixie. She was married again in 1853 to John K. Allen, a justice of the peace, who officiated at her first wedding. He died in 1876. Mrs. Allen is survived by the following children; Mrs, G.W.
