I hadn't pursued it. Now, looking at it again, I see Frances Fowler age 80 born in VA in the household. Well, well, well. I believe this is Frances Fowler formerly Frances Oxley widow of Levi Oxley who married Thomas Fowler in 1803 Fayette Co VA after Levi's death in 1802 Fayette Co KY. Levi & Frances Oxley were the parents of Sarah Oxley born c1798 who married Ackley Day in 1816 Fleming Co KY. I'm 99.9% sure that Ackley was the f/o our Truman Day born 1817 so this makes Frances Fowler in the above household our ancestor. I've done some digging and I believe that Louis Saunders the head of the household was in fact Louis Saunders born c1803 s/o Ackley Saunders of Fleming Co KY. By the way, the ages on this census are wrong for Louis & Polly. Younger children must be children of Thomas & Frances Fowler. Note there are two children in 1810 census not accounted for. As I stated above, they were probably children of Thomas & Frances. I think that it's very possible that Polly Sanders born c1807 according to 1870 census was the female under 10 on 1810 census and that Frances was thus living with her daughter. There is no marriage record for Louis/Lewis Saunders/Sanders in Fleming Co KY. **see my note next My note: I believe either the daughter on 1810 or 1820, under 10 years old, was Mary Fowler, daughter of Thomas & Frances. I have a death certificate of Mary Jane Saunders Spillars in 1911, giving her parents as Louis Saunders & Mary Fowler. In 1950, Frances Fowler was living with Louis Saunders family, and I believe she was the mother of his wife, Mary Fowler.
