John R. Bowman, Mar. 22, 1854 - Oct. 28, 1921. Mattie E. Bowman, Jan. 17, 1861 - Apr. 15, 1939. Also on headstone, no dates, Jas. H. Jeffries (abt. 1848 - May 12, 1926) and Geo. W. Jeffries (abt. 1850 - Aug. 10, 1934). They were brothers of Mattie Jeffries Bowman. John R. Bowman was a son of Alfred Bowman and Lucy J. Craghead, a grandson of John R. Craghead and Sarah Hale. He was my 3rd cousin 3 times removed. On May 9, 1883 he married Martha E. Jeffries. She was a daughter of George Jeffries and Elizabeth Waters.
