John R. Nichols, July 21, 1862 - May 15, 1929. Ella Padgett Nichols, Oct. 3, 1871 - __. John Robert Nichols was a son of Robert Taylor Nichols and Mary Ann Howe. He was my 3rd cousin twice removed. On May 10, 1889 in Callaway Co., Missouri, he married Ella M. Padgett. She was a daughter of James Alexander Padgett and Susan A. Corley. Her death date is not on headstone, she may have been buried in New York.
