He was a grandson of William Wilson Sims and Mary Frances Johnson, and, Franklin Good and Clara Eichelberger. He married Jessie Ruth Peterson. She was a daughter of Mickelson Peterson and Emma Ida Love, a granddaughter of Jessie Peterson and Eglantine Appleton Tatum, and, John Love and Ida McGill.
