Dabney C. Herring, died Nov 15, 1896 age 67 ys 1 mo 3 dys. Go home dear friends and dry your eyes. When Christ apears I will arise. Dabney Carver Herring was born Oct. 12, 1829 in Albemarle Co. Virginia, He was a son of John Herring and Lucy Carver. He was a grandson of George Herring & Elizabeth Closby, and, Jarrell Carver & Nancy Beck. He was my 2nd great granduncle. On Feb 26, 1857 in Callaway Co., Missouri, he married Mary Francis Simco.
