John B. Herring Headstone Photo, Herring Carter Cemetery (destroyed)

John B. Herring, my 3rd great grandfather. b: abt 1798 in Albemarle Co. Virginia, died between June 24, 1841 and Sept 28, 1841, Callaway Co. Missouri. This was his land. He was a son of Benjamin Herring and Nancy Hill, grandson of Henry Hill and Susanna Jones all of Albemarle Co. Virginia. On Nov. 11, 1819 in Albemarle Co., Virginia, he married his 1st cousin, Mariah Hill. Readable footstone existed in 1933. No headsones are left in this cemetery.
