This stone was placed here by George Carrington, grandson of Nathan and Eliza, in the 1940's to mark the place where they and 6 of their 11 children were buried. Nathaniel Dillard Carrington and Eliza S. Herring, children Lydia Carrington, William B. Carrington, Frank Carrington, and Beulah M. Carrington. Also buried here are children Joe Carrington 1888 - 1889, and Peaches Carrington 1896 - abt 1899. The original headstones are gone. Nathaniel D. Carrington and Eliza S. Herring were my great grandparents.
