John K. Boyd Sr. and Elizabeth C. Martin Headstone Photo, Carrington Baptist Church Cemetery

J.K. Boyd, Father - Mother, Aug 12, 1830 - Nov 5, 1912. Elizabeth his wife, Apr 5, 1839 - blank 19. John King Boyd Sr. was a son of Joseph Boyd and Ann King, grandson of Thomas Boyd Sr. and Grizella Allen. He was my 2nd cousin 3 times removed. On Nov 13, 1856 he married Elizabeth C. Martin. Elizabeth Martin Boyd died May 22, 1921. Cemetery records and death certificate do show she is buried in Carrington, perhaps they never finished engraving the stone after her death. She was a daughter of Noah Martin and Virginia Closby.
