    • Amelia Emma Smith, b: Aug, 23, 1852, Port Royal, Pa., d: Jan. 27, 1956, Fulton (103 years old). Amelia Smith's father was John K. Smith, no other information, and Catherine Showbell?.

      In 1910, her mother, Catherine, age 87 was living with her. Census says she had 6 children, 4 living in 1910. Census says her mother had 9 children with 3 living.

      Death of Mrs. Catherine Smith.
      Mrs. Catherine Smith, aged 88 years, died Saturday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E.A. LaRue, in Western avenue, near Synodical College, with whom she had made her home for the past eight years. Her death was ascribed to general debility. Funeral services were conducted at the Mount Carmel Methodist church, four miles south of Fulton, Sunday, Rev. C.B. Duncan, paster of the Fulton Methodist church officiating. Interment occurred in the cemetery at that place. Besides Mrs. LaRue, she is survived by two sons, Thomas Smith of St. Louis, and William Smith, of Kansas City.
