    • Fulton Man Died Suddenly.
      Heart Attack Fatal to John W. Divers, Who Had Been Ill Three Years - Was a Virginian.
      John W. divers, of this city, 64 years old, who had been in ill health three years, died suddenly Wednesday morning at 6:00 o'clock of heart trouble. Mr. Divers had been confined to his room more than a year but seemed to be in about his usual state of health up to the time of his death.
      Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon and burial was in the new city cemetery.
      Mr. Divers was born in Franklin county, Virginia, January 21, 1856, and came to this county about thirty years ago. Before his removal here he was married to Miss Nannie B. Dudley, also of Virginia, their wedding taking place in 1881. She survives, with six children. The children are: O.L. Divers, Kansas City; Mrs. C.R. Wilburn, Admire, Kan., Miss Vilda, a teacher in Hiwassee College, Madisonville, Tenn.; Miss Della, of this city, and Misses Bernice and Mary, teachers in the Cedar City public schools. Three brothers and one sister also are living, namely; J.O. Divers, Fulton; Flem and O.L. Divers, Roanoke, Va., and Mrs. Gille Payton, Franklin county, Virginia.
      Mr. Divers united with the Baptist church in his youth and lived a life of piety. He was quiet in his demeanor, but made many friends who sympathize with those who are bereaved by his death.
