Notes |
- From the 1984 Callaway Book:
Her parents were Bernard Hoffmeyer and Anna Siebert, who moved to the Fulton area in 1919 to educate their two deaf sons
Both received their elementary education at Hardin rural school and were graduated from Fulton High School. Hubert is a graduate of Westminister College. Gladys is a graduate of William Woods College and the University of Missouri. She taught Latin and English at Fulton High School until retirement.
Since their marriage, Hubert and Gladys have lived on their farm northeast of Fulton, located where McKinney Creek and Richland Creek meet to form Crows Fork. They engaged in livestock and grain farming. Hubert had a lifelong interest in collecting Indian artifacts. Both have been members of Ebenezer Church since their early years.
