    • Edith May Griffin, 84, of Snyder Village, formerly of St. Louis and Hermann, Mo., died at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2005, at Snyder Village.
      She was born May 28, 1920, in Augusta, Mo., to Samuel Lawrence and Clara May Craghead Griffin.
      Surviving are three nieces, including Clair Kaufman of Peoria, who cared for her; and three nephews.
      She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
      She was a high school home economics teacher in Hermann, Mo., until 1972. She then worked as a caseworker for the Missouri Department of Public Aid, retiring in 1989.
      She was a member of Missouri Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star.
      She was a member of Webster Hills United Methodist Church in Webster Groves, Mo., where a memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday. Cremation has been accorded. Burial of ashes will be in Riverside Cemetery in Tebbetts, Mo. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
