- SHANNON DOUGLAS CLATTERBUCK (Sept 25, 1955)
Shannon Douglas Clatterbuck, 75, native of Callaway County, died Saturday at a hospital in Omaha, Neb, where he had been making his home for the past five years. Mr. Clatterbuck was admitted to the hospital on Thursday.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2?oclok at Dry Fork Church in Guthrie. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery . The body will lie in state at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton.
Mr. Clatterbuck was born on March 12, 1880. He had lied in the Guthrie and Auvasse communities prior to moving to Nebraska. Mr. Clatterbuck was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, seven sons; two daughters, including Mrs. James Bell of Auxvasse; and a sister, Mrs. Curtis Christian of New Bloomfield.
Funeral Services Held Tuesday for S.D. Clatterbuck Funeral services were held for Shannon Douglas Clatterbuck, 75 of Omaha Neb., on Tuesday afternoon at the Dry Fork Baptist Church at Guthrie of which he was a life long member. Nr. Clatterbuck died Saturday at a hospital in Omaha. The Rev. John Ross of Kansas City conducted the service. Interment was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, south of Fulton.
Honorary pallbearers were: horace Holt, O.P. Wilson, Herbert Craghead, Hershel Criswell, Willie Brooks, and Donald Waggoner. The active pallbearers were; Arnold Bedsworth, W. Paul Clatterbuck, Charlie Hudson, Wallace Jones, and Hubert Mirts.
Members of the immediate family attending the funeral included Mr. Clatterbuck?s widow, Mrs. Annie Messersmith Clatterbuck of Omaha, Miss Georgia Clatterbuck of Washington, D.C.; Mr. and Mrs. Hurbert Clatterbuck, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Clatterbuck, and daughters, Joyce and Rita.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Clatterbuck, Mr. and Mrs. harold Clatterbuck, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Clatterbuck, of Omaha, Neb., Lyle Clatterbuck of Sioux City, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Donald CLatterbuck of Nashville, TN; and Mr. and Mrs. James Bell and son Jerry of Auxvasse.
Mr. Clatterbuck is survived also by one sister, Mrs. G.C. Christian of Guthrie, and 12 grandchildren.
He was born on March 12, 1880, in Callaway County, where he spent most of his life.
