Notes |
- She is the second wife of John Sampson, and he is her second husband. The marriage record gives her name as Nancy Emmerson, but the obit clearly names her parents as Snell.
From her husband's obituary, "he married the widow of George Emmerson, whose maiden name was Nancy Snell."
Nancy Snell was the daughter of Louden Snell and Judith Dicken
In 1850, Mary and Julia Emmison (Nancy's daughters by her first husband) are listed. William Sampson is Nancy's son by John Sampson, the rest of the children are John Sampson's by his first wife, Mollie Tinsley.
