  Alex. Henderson was a merchant at Mt. Carmel, Ky. The Harts are well represented in Kentucky life. Susanna Hart, daughter of Nathaniel Hart, m Isaac Shelby. Hon. Carter Harrison, ex-mayor of Chicago, was also of this line. Lucretia Hart, wife of Henry Clay, was descended from Thomas Hart. John and Benjamin Hart, artists, and Lieut.-Gov. Archibald Dixon, senator and author of the Kansas-Nebraska Bill, were of David Hart's line. Nathaniel, Thomas and David were actively associated with Judge Richard Henderson in the organization of the Transylvania Company. 2nd wife, Elizabeth Morrison, b. 1783, d. 1854, Fleming, Kentucky. They had 6 children, none of which came to Callaway county.
