    • Billy Williamson Dunavant, 89, Fulton, died Nov. 28, 1999, at Callaway Community Hospital.
      He was born Nov. 18, 1910, in Fulton, a son of Edmund W. and Nuell Smith Dunavant. He was married Feb. 16, 1936, to Mary Alice Ebersole, who died May 18, 1996.
      He was a 1929 graduate of Fulton High School and attended Westminster College. He received his pharmacy registration from St. Joseph. In 1943, he bought Nolin Pharmacy, which became Dunavant's Drug, which he operated until his retirement in 1972.
      He was past president of the Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club. He served on the Fulton School Board, the SERVE board and the police board. He was a chapter advisor for the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity at Westminster College and had been a member of the local chapter of AA. He was a member and past elder of the First Presbyterian Church, Fulton.
      Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, Fulton.
      Memorials are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church, the Kingdom of Callaway Historical Society or SERVE.
      Arrangements are under the direction of Maupin Funeral Home, Fulton.
