Cra(i)ghead book has him married to Lydia Carrington for his first wife. This is not correct, they were never married. My information comes from time and dates, and memories of some Carrington relatives. Roy Craghead never took care of his son John Russel Carrington. Craghead book even mentions that the family does not really know his son, who was raised by his grandmother Carrington. He lived in Kansas when his son was a small child, and married in Kansas. He returned to Fulton for a about 10 years then moved on to Pa. with his family. John Russel Craighead was raised by his grandmother (my great grandmother), Eliza Herring Carrington. per the Cra(i)ghead book: While living in Kansas, Roy worked for the Missouri-Pacific railroad. On Dec. 22, 1913, he returned to Fulton, Mo., and in Mar. 1922 the family moved to Quakertown, Pa., where he worked for a crushed rock company. His death was due to cancer. His widow moved to Wilmington, Delaware to live with her daughter.
