- Death Takes Little Bobby Holt Monday
Son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Reed Holt Had Not Been Well For Sometime
Robert Reed Holt, six years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Reed Holt of Fulton, known intimately to all of his many friends in Fulton, young and old, as "Bobby", died at the home of his parents, on Grand street, at 11:15 o'clock, Monday morning.
Bobby had not been well for sometime, but he was not compelled to remain at home, attending school regularly. He was at school for the last time Friday, when his teacher, Miss Ruth Berry of the first grade, noticed that he had taken a sudden sick spell and called his mother to have him taken home, advising her that he was too ill to remain in classes.
His condition became gradually worse and Saturday night he became violently ill. From that time on four physicians were called in, but it was never definately determined as to the nature of his ailment.
The little fellow was a favorite with all. He was especially proud of his first year's record in school, and he never missed attending there or his Sunday school class at the First Christian Church, where his public school teacher, Miss Berry, also was his Sunday school teacher.
Mr. and Mrs. Holt also are ill at their home on Grand street and Bobby's little sister, Mary Katherine, two years old, is ill at the home of her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Holt, on West Eighth street. The condition of none of these is serious at this time.
Bobby also is survived by his maternal grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Frank J. Nichols of Cetertown, who came to Fulton, Sunday, when his condition became critical.
Funeral services will be conducted at the First Christian Church in Fulton at 2:30 o'clock, Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. Dr. W. Garnet Alcorn officiating and burial will be in Hillcrest.
The many friends of the family are deeply grieved at the boy's death and extend sympathy to all of them.
