Notes	John Lewis Clatterbuck was born May 6, 1836 the first son of William Getter Clatterbuck and Caroline Leopard. He married Lucy Francis Reynolds, daughter of John Payne Reynolds and Lavina Newman, on March 21, 1862. They had eleven children. He died on December 27, 1929 at the age of 96. He and Lucy were buried in Dry Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. J.L. Clatterbuck Found Dead (Dec 27, 1929) Resident of Guthrie Community, 96 years old, died at his home Friday Morning-John L. Clatterbuck, 96 years old, was found dead in bed at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ora Smith, near Guthrie, with whom he lived, Friday morning about 8:00 o'clock. Mr. Clatterbuck had been in unusually good health for one of his age, and ate heartily Thursday. He retired about his regular time Thursday night, apparently as well as usual. It is not known what time death occurred, as his passing was not discovered until someone wen to his room this morning. Funeral arrangements had not been made Friday afternoon. Mr. Clatterbuck was born in the Guthrie community, and had lived all his life within three miles from the farm on which he died. He is survived by eight children, four sons and four daughters. They are: William and Baxter Clatterbuck, Guthrie; J.H. Clatterbuck, Nevada, MO, Robert Clatterbuck, Jefferson City; Obe Clatterbuck East St. Louis, Mrs. Ora B. Smith, Mrs. Samuel Hudson, Mrs. Annie Wilson and Mrs. Rennie Clatterbuck, all of Guthrie. Mr. Clatterbuck was a charter member of the Dry Fork Baptist Church, near Guthrie and was one of its faithful and active members during his long life time.
