- Kathryn Monzell Herring
Kathryn Monzell Herring, 91, of Fulton, died Monday, Nov. 4, 1991 at the Heartland Nursing Home in Fulton.
She was born Aug. 5, 1899 in Independence, the daughter of the late John Henry and Rosa May Schaffer Van Reen. She married Nolan "Jack" Herring, Sept. 3, 1952 in Arkansas, and he preceded her in death Aug. 18, 1983.
She is survived by two sisters, Rose Henage of Fulton and Elizabeth Roberts of Fulton; one brother, Fred Van Reen of Fulton; one niece, Helen Stephens of Florissant; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clay Van Reen and W.D. Van Reen and one sister, Gertrude Sanders.
She worked in St. Louis during World War II and returned to Fulton in 1945.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday in the Debo Funeral Chapel in Fulton, the Rev. Raymond McCallister Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight in the Debo Funeral Chapel.
