Mrs. Lucy Roberts Dead.
Mrs. Lucy A. Roberts, aged 80 years, died in the home of her son-in-law, W.C. Craghead, five miles east of Fulton, Sunday. She had been ill several days with pneumonia, but a stroke of paralysis on Saturday night caused her death. Funeral services were conducted at Ebenezer Baptist church Monday afternoon by Rev. L.T. Barger of Fulton, and burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Roberts maiden name was Lucy A. Berry and she was born in Madison county, Kentucky, May 10, 1831. In young womanhood she came with her parents to Callaway county, where she was married on January 13, 1853 to James G. Roberts, who died in 1897. She is survived by two daughters and five sons, namely Mrs. Louisa Meador, Broken Arrow, Okla,; Mrs. W.C. Craghead, of Callaway; William S. Roberts, Girard, Ill.; James G. Robers, Arco, Idaho; and Martin H., Thomas M., and Benjamin F. Roberts, of this county. She also leaves two brothers and two sisters, John G. Berry, northeast of Fulton, Mrs. Permelia Robers, Fulton, Benjamin Berry, Idaho, and Mrs. Jenete Bartly, Beebe, Ark.

Mrs. Roberts united with the Ham's Prairie Methodist church shen she was 15 years old. Later she transferred her membership to the Baptist denominaton and for many years was identified with the Unity and Ebenezer churches. She was a woman of mnay splendid traits of Character, and was respected and loved by her large circle of acquaintances. The Gazette extends sympathy to all who mourn her passing.
