Notes |
- Earnest Leavell Blackburn Miss Anna Belle Carter 22 Apr 1901
I vaguely remember Uncle Buddy. In the 1950's he owned the Woodworth Hotel in Robinson, IL. My parents came from Missouri to Illinois in 1949 or 1950 to work at the hotel. They sold the hotel and moved back to Fulton, Mo. in the late 1950's. I believe Mary Ann Blackburn lived till the early 1980's.

When he married in 1901, the marriage license gave his home as Durant, Blue county, Indian Teritories. I remember my father telling me that Uncle Buddy had been an Indian agent at some time before he married Bess. I also think after their marriage they moved probably to Oklahoma for a while, which was part of what was then called Indian Teritory, but I do not think they stayed there very long and were back living in Fulton before 1910.
